The Major Countries that was/is involved in the Silk Road

Major Players.

Throughout the history of the silkroad, there have been five major players (countries) and people that influenced the silkroad.

1. The Chinese:

The Chinese provided many of the goods carried along the routes. They produced Silk, Porcilen, Paper, and the seceret of gun powder. The Great wall and the various Dynasties contributed to the stability of the route. The Chinese weather fighting or uniting ultimatly upheld the route.

2. The Indian's:

The Indians perfected ways of travel so that the goods could get from point A to point B. They also contributed to ideals and goods.

3. The Persians:

The Persians, like the chinese produced many goods and upheld the routes. As many times as they were conqured though, the kept the routes open.

4. The Arabians:

The Arabians developed ways to travel while extending and connecting the many different trade routes. The 2 most important routes were the Silkroad and the Spice Routes.

5.The Romans/ Europeans

played a simple role. The simply had demand for far-east
