At the end of month of December 2004, a massive 8.9 earthquake rocked Southeast Asia, triggering a deadly tsunami (seismic sea waves) that took the lives of thousands of people.
The origin of the earthquake was near Sumatra island of Indonesia. Tidal waves destroyed millions of homes, wiped out cities, villages, farms and fields in the countries of the region, such as; Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Kenya, Somalia, Tanzania, Bangladesh.
Countless number of children, men and women killed, wounded and left heartbroken without hope in this most destructive tsunami ever known in the modern history.
