Impact on Egypt

La Mezquita de Sultan Hassan Introduction

Every action taken by one country on another has an impact. In the case of colonisation, the impacts are long lasting, as actions and effects take place over a long period of time and leave effects that are hard to disappear.

After exploring how the British came to power and for what reasons, in this section, we will find out what are the impacts of the British Occupation on Egypt. On one hand, we must compare with how Egypt had been in the past, and how things had changed under the British. On the other hand, we must also assess how British actions leave long lasting effects on Egypt.
