Jewelry in Egypt

        In Egypt there are all different kinds of jewelry. In Egypt it doesn’t matter if you are a man, a women, your age, or social status everyone wore jewelry. Even some animals wore jewelry. Wealthy Egyptians wore jewelry wherever they went. Many Egyptians wore jewelry around their waist as a type of belt. They even wore jewelry on their heads and necks. There were many different types of jewelry worn on various types of the body. People seemed to think that there was a definite quality of jewelry.  People thought that the best type of jewelry gold, silver, and bronze. The gems they used in their jewelry were usually onyx, turquoise, amethyst, and lapis lazuli.

        Egyptians thought that jewelry was an importance. Egyptians did not have bright and colorful clothes so that’s why they wore so much jewelry. It was a social importance for Egyptians to we’re jewelry.  The wealthiest people wore jewelry that was higher in class although poor people still wore jewelry.
