Amber

Imagine. Millions of years ago, tall trees with sap pouring down their trunks. Trees like this were EVERYWHERE! After a while the atmosphere got colder and the trees where soon under water. Where they hardened, after time, into the stone we now call Amber.  Pretty soon pieces of Amber washed up on shores and ancient people found them. They thought it was sunlight in a solid form. Through time people have used it for many reasons. Some would put around their homes to ward of unwanted spirits.  Some wore it around their necks for protection. Also some braided it in their horses’ manes for good luck. These are only some of the things that Amber has been used for through time. Amber is found in many places. One place where Amber is found is Poland.  That is how Amber came to be!!
