Definitions

       These are some words that have to do with poverty and you might find in this website.

-Poverty: When a person does not have enough money to support themselves and/or their family.

- Income: Money received as a profit for a job

- Homeless shelter: A place a homeless person can go to eat and sleep

-Food stamps: Coupons people get if they don’t have enough money to buy the food whole price. It’s a little bit like a coupon but only used if you don’t have enough money to buy things

-Food drives: Many schools and company’s hold food drives to give homeless shelters food to give out.

-Misconception: something you might think that is true but really isn't ex: people who are homeless are weird

-Debt: when a person owes money to a bank and doesn't have enough money to pay it back
