The shift ciphers

They are some times called Caesar Ciphers.  That’s because Julius Caesar used them for government uses.  The Shift Ciphers are quick and easy to solve.  The good thing is you make it so only you [may be your friends too if you tell them] know what the code is.

The way you make these codes is by putting an alphabet on the paper.

Ex:

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

Add another alphabet but you can start it anywhere

Ex:

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

OPQRSTUVWXYZABCDEFGHIJKLMN

[Remember you can start the alphabet]

The top row is the actual letter the bottom is the new letter.

Have fun with YOUR new code
