Mount Everest is the most famous
mountain in the world. Why you may ask? It is because it is the tallest mountain
in the world. That is not its only feature. The 29,035 foot peak is icy cold and
many courageous people have tried to reach the top of this beautiful
peak. After becoming the highest peak in the world, many wanted to risk their lives
and become the first to make it to the top of Mount Everest. Many died trying
but finally in 1953, two men made it to the top. Their names were Edmund Hillary
and Tenzing Norgay. Since then, many have attempted to be the first to do
numerous other accomplishments on Mount Everest. Mount Everest has been climbed
by over 1,300 people from 20 different countries
over the years and over 160 have lost their lives. Mt. Everest in my
opinion is the most interesting of all natural wonders because something of such
beauty could injure so many people. Even though it proves deadly if I had a
chance to climb it I would!!
