
Welcome to the Rules page. Listed below are some of the basic
rules you would need to know to start playing soccer.
- At the pro league level there are 11 players on the field but this
depends on your age and the size of the field
- At the pro level you play with 2 forwards, 4 midfields, 4 defenders and a
goalie

- Offside: when a player is behind the last defender not including the goalie
- If your teammate passes the ball directly to
their goalie on purpose the goalie must kick the ball not pick it up
- The goalie is the only player allowed to use
their hands to touch the ball with their hands or it is a hand ball
- The ball is only out of bounds when it has
traveled completely over the line
- To be a goal the ball must be completely over
the end line and into the goal
- Handballs are called when player intentionally
hits the ball with their hand
- Indirect free kicks are awarded when there is
: offsides, goalie steps, charging goalie, obstruction, high kicks, and playing
the ball while on the ground
- Direct free kicks are awarded for kicking,
tripping, jumping at/on a player, charging at a player, anything else that is
considered a foul, and handballs.
- During penalty kicks, All players except the
goalie and the kicker have to clear the penalty area until the ball is kicked
