Spirit and Oppritunity
Space exploration has been thought about since man first appeared on Earth. The Greeks and Romans watched the night sky. Planets are named after the gods of these civilizations. Our moon, the Earth's moon has often been the primitive man's focus because it is so near to us and does not require a telescope. The moon and sun are symbols of high regard in primitive societies. But not until the 20th century CE have we actually accomplished the long journey to the moon and still we have not yet traveled farther than it.

This site will help you to understand the mysteries of space and about the history of space exploration. Enjoy learning about the marvelous expanse of space!
