 Phoenix

Looks

The phoenix has gold plumage around its neck.

It also has a purple body and an azure tail.

It has a crest on its throat, and it has a tuft of feathers on its head.

Its feathers are composed entirely of fire.

Its huge talons are razor sharp and could easily spear several men.

The talons themselves are about a half-foot long, three curved claws in front, and one larger jagged claw in the back.

Size

The phoenix is the size of an eagle.

Its talons are about a half-foot long.

It has a long and slender beak.

History

The phoenix symbolizes immortality and life after death.

The phoenix is reborn through fire.

When a phoenix dies, it turns into ashes.  From the ashes, a new phoenix is born.

Tears from the phoenix have healing powers.

The phoenix is associated with the Egyptian sun god Ra.
