Do you believe that the Luo Han fish brings luck and properity?

Based on the results, it seems that most Singaporeans are sceptical about the luck-bringing properties of the fish. This shows us how much the craze has died out. Apparently, people just do not believe in the fish anymore.

Question 2

Have you ever reared a luohan?

The results indicate quite a large proportion of the surveyed have actually gone with the craze and bought a luohan. This is in contrast to the results of the previous question. Clearly, this illustrates why the craze died out. Apparently, many people realized their folly, and people stopped buying the fish altogether.

We can infer from the data collected that many people who have bought luohans during the craze have not observed any change in their luck. This goes to show that the rumors surrounding the fish are false, and people were wrong to believe in the rumors.

Question 4

Do you believe in fengshui?

From the results obtained, we can infer that Singaporeans have mixed feelings about fengshui, and even though they are sceptical of the controversial fish, they still believe in fengshui, the ancient practice of placement to achieve harmony. This goes to show the popularity of fengshui among Singaporeans and also highlights the susceptibility of Singaporeans to another good-luck fish craze.

This shows us how little Singaporeans actually understand fengshui, when they themselves believe in it, which further underlines the vulnerability and susceptibility of Singaporeans to such situations. This could mean more such crazes in the future.

During the craze, have you ever had the idea of starting an aquarium business to cash in on the craze?

This shows us that a majority of Singaporeans are far sighted enough not to invest large amounts on a temporary phenomenom. However, there are still a number of people who might try their luck on such ventures, risky as it may be.

Question 7

If you were to buy a luohan fish at the present, would it be for good luck or decoration/recreational purposes?

This shows us that most people know longer have confidence in the fish to bring them luck. However, there are still a few who would still bother to try and see if the fish can actually improve their luck.

Question 8

If, at present, there was another fish rumored to bring excessive good luck to the owner but costs a hefty sum, would you still buy it?

Apparently, Singaporeans have learnt their lesson from the craze, and they are not likely to pay hefty sums for such "good-luck" fishes in the near future.
