Nelson Rockefeller

Nelson Rockfeller lived from 1908 to 1979. We all know him as the vice president that served one term under President Richard Nixon , the only president to ever resign in office and he was an American public official which served four terms as Governor of New York. Nelson Rockfeller was born on July 8, 1908 and was born in Bar Harbor, Maine. In 1930 he graduated from Dartmouth College. Early in his career he developed a lifelong interest in Latin America and invested in a Standard Oil subsidiary. The year he graduated he married Mary Todhunter Clark together they had 5 children. Though after their wretched divorce in 1962 he had 2 sons after marrying Margaretta (Happy) Murphy. After a horrible heart attack he died in New York City on January 26, 1979.
