In the begginning of the 20th century people saw the pioneers experimenting
and resolving many of the problems that appeared with each adavancement.
The old saying of' " One step forward and two steps back", was the way
that the pioneers to get themselves motavated.
Dissymmetry, the way to lift, the action that accured to
cause some of the early models to flip over, made the early pioneers
to worry about other models that would flip over. Until one day a machine
called a swashplate with a cyclic pith that would help the
rotorblade the top of a helicoptor that helps it
fly, would be able to make the central shaft fly up.
Except there were problems that had not been worked out on another helicoptor. Then
on November 13,1907, a French Pioneer named Paul Cornumade made
a twin rotored helicoptor fly into the air for a few seconds. Afterwards
another French person named Etienne Oehmichen became the first
to actually fly a helicoptor for 7 minutes and 40 seconds.
One of the more succesful people was a spanird by the name of Juan da
la Cierva. His invention was named Autogyro,it was not a true helicoptor but
it was very important. In 1936 a german helicoptor was made. This german
helicoptors name was,
Focke Wulf Fw61, it was the first practical helicoptor in reality.
Now vertical flight was not a dream anymore.
Later on another german by the name of Boris Yuriev made a helicoptor
that would change how the others before him made,he made the first helicoptor
that didn't need a swashplate to help it lift into the sky. It lasted
for 1 hour and 50 seconds. It was then did the people know how to make the
helicoptor without using the swashplate.
