FLAIL

A flail is a medieval weapon made of a spiked metal ball attached by a single chain to a handle. Some say it is a type of morning star weapon. The flail is more powerful than the mace, because the ball is swung in a circular motion, yo bring momentum, before bringing down an enemy. The flail is difficult to master, because you have to have more control to keep the ball from hitting it's master. This sort of flail was most used in the 13th through the 15th century.

BROADSWORD

The term broadsword was originally used to describe the straight double-edged basket-hilted of the European culture during the 17th through 19th centuries.

    LANCE

Because of the extreme stopping power of a lance it quickly became a popular weapon of footmen in the footman's lance.
A lance is also the name given by some anthropologists to the light flexible spears thrown by spear throwers.

CROSSBOW

A crossbow is a weapon that consists of a prod, which has a mechanism to wind and shoot its bolts. These bolts are typically called quarrels, and do not depend upon lift as arrows do.
