 Public Transportation

                       Public Transportation is vehicle services designed to transport customers on local and regional routes. It is called public transportation because the public uses it. These services were designed to be less expensive because they want  citizens to ride and afford it. There are many public transportation devices.  Those devices are different in every state. Most towns and states have buses and trains, because it is the main source of transportation. People who live close to water like to use a ferryboat to get across the town,  it gets there quicker because no traffic is in its way.

                                                                                      

Definitions

Train: Public transport provided by a line of railway cars coupled together and drawn by a locomotive

 

Taxi: A car driven by a person whose job is to take passengers where they want to go in exchange for money

 

Ferry: A boat that transports people or vehicles across a body of water and operates on a regular schedule

 

Bus: A long vehicle carrying many passengers; used for public transport

 

Air Plane: An aircraft that has a fixed wing and is powered by propellers or jets and carries many passengers across the world

 

Limousine: Large luxurious car; usually driven by a chauffeur

                                                                                  

 

Benefits of Public Transportation

 

           Public transportation provides mobility and freedom to costumers. When citizens ride these services it helps out 1 billion jobs and the town because it raises money to give to jobs and the town. Public transportation helps out many environments, by it saving energy in the worlds system. Public transportation is good, because it makes less traffic and congestion on the city’s streets. If you are going somewhere on a train the train would get their faster then a car would. Also Public transportation save the world because it stops pollution in the air, because when you drive a automobile it gives out smoke in the air and damages the  earth's ozone layer, public transportation devices give off no smoke and bad fumes to the air . That is what is great about these Public Transportation Devices.

 

 

Who uses Public Transportation?

 

            Many types of people use Public Transportation because it is much faster than automobiles. Citizens who live in cities often prefer the train and bus than a car if they were going somewhere. Since 1995 Public Transportation usage started it has risen a whole lot. The Public Transportation industry is huge because so many young and old people use and like it. Kids who go to school ride Public buses because they enjoy the great service they get.

How safe is Public Transportation?

 

Compared to road systems transit systems are way safer. The National safety council estimates that riding the bus is over 170 times safer than automobile travel. There has not been any bad violence on Public Transportation systems .The only violence that has been spotted on the devices would be  on the  subway, but they now have safer security on their including surveillance cameras. Many transit systems serve safe havens for both children and adults. Transit systems also provide more security than automobiles ever would. Public Transportation would be your best option to ride!
