Do you use
the T.V. as an
electronic babysitter?
You should watch your children more closely to see
what they are watching on T.V. Nine out of ten children’s programs
include credible threats, violent acts, and harmful consequences. By the time
your child reaches 16 years of age, he or she will have witnessed 200,000
violent acts and 33,000 murders.
T.V. Must Be Censored !
Why must movies and T.V. be so violent? At least
movies are censored by using these movie
ratings: G,
PG, PG-13, and R.
G and PG are more for kids, while
PG-13 and R are for teenagers.
NC-17
is sometimes used in movies. It is also for teenagers.
Now
let’s talk T.V. T.V. has many
violent networks. Some kids accidentally watch bad networks and end up seeing
something
scary
or just plain wrong. ABC
and CBS are examples of networks for adults, not kids. If kids end up watching
something
for adults, they may become worried , afraid or aggressive.
