Topics showing inappropriate behavior and violence may scare children and also sometimes influence them to act out what they see on T.V.		Shows are monitored for inappropriate behavior, violence and bad language. They are then rated so as to inform the parents who screen shows for their children.
	Studies have shown that children become desensitized to violence they see on TV		Kids should only watch shows that are appropriate for their ages.
TV censoring affects TV by making parents more aware of the types of shows their children are watching.		Children may become upset and may not understand everything they see on T.V
	All channels are affected by TV censoring		Studies show that violence on TV is leading to homicides, assaults and other violent acts.

This raises the question is government censorship of children’s programming necessary? Some people believe that censorship would result in reduced crime while others say that it goes against our right to freedom of speech. The last group would also point out that government control would lead to only one point of view presented. Government control in one area of our lives might possibly lead to government control in other areas of our lives.
