AIDS IN AFRICA - ORPHANS

In the year 2000, 65,000 people were orphaned by AIDS in Botswana alone and in Zimbabwe a total of 980,000 orphans have been recorded, this situation is however a sort of set back to the development of the continent. These children are the leaders of tomorrow and the possibility of getting a cure (suitable treatment) for AIDS lies in theirs hands only if they are educated. In most cases, when children are orphaned by such disease the burden of child raising will be once again bestowed on there aged grand parents.  In some cases, emotionally such children becomes unstable and as such needs emotional and moral support.

In Most cases children Orphaned by aids are being left in custodies of their old grand parents
