Making music

People who are mentally disabled like to listen to music, just like you do.
And they also have favourite singers or bands.
Some of them have a talent for music and they play an instrument.
Because most of the people who are mentally disabled have troubles reading, there is a special notation system for music notes. That is with colours.

More than 1000 groups of musicians, orchestras, music schools and individuals use this notation system.
The colours that are used are: black, yellow, blue, brown, green, red and white.

At the keys you can see the notes: A, B, C, D, E, F and G.
But of course there are also the notes: bes, cis, fis, es, fis and gis.
They also have their own colours.

Well known bands
In the Netherlands there are some well known bands.
The Josti band is on television very often.
And they have played for the Queen several times.
