Inhabitants have their own apartment or bed-sitting-room, besides that there is a shared living room and kitchen for each group. There is a cook who prepares their meal, and if possible everyone helps. During the times that the inhabitants are home, there is at least one assistant present.

In Almere there are some quarters in which mentally handicapped people can live. In this situation about 3 to 6 clients live in one quarter. In for example the Venloweg, Brunsemstraat en Tussen de Vaarten you can find these houses. In some houses companionship is always present. And in other houses there is companionship from three o' clock, because the other hours people may go to school, work, or a day activity centre.
