Tante Truus

Tante Truus (Aunt Trudy) is a restaurant where people who are mentally disabled are the cooks or the waiters.
They are very happy because finally they are able to open their own restaurant/lunchroom.
It opens medio March 2005.
You can also hire the waiters when you have your own party at home or at the office.
On this page you can see some more pictures that we made just after the opening.

Since September people who are mentally handicapped and have the capacity, can go to the ROC. A school for higher education.
They can learn to become a horeca-assistent.
There are 4 basic modules:
- serving
- kitchenwork
- working with the cash register
- cleaning
- doing the dishes
