The team

The team members: Renate, Laurette, Nienke and Noami never joined a Thinkquest International Competition before.
They all are in different classes and on different school levels.
They live in Almere in the Netherlands.

Renate


haaay,
I am Renate and I am 15 years old.
My school is Helen Parkhurst College in Almere.
This year is my final year. I am having exams of VMBO-TL in May.

Next year I want to follow a sports education, with the speciality: ice skating.
But I also want to go to the Police Academy.
I still doubt a little.

My biggest hobbies are ice skating and water polo.
Until last year Nienke and I were in the same water polo team.
And I am teaching her how to do ice skating.
I have followed the ice skating courses for about 10 years now, together with Laurette.



This is my 5th year that I join Thinkquest.
The first 3 years I joined the Dutch Thinkquest competition together with Nienke.

Hi,
I am Laurette.
At this moment I am 15 years old.
My school is called De Meergronden. It is a secondary school at Almere Haven in the Netherlands. This year I am having my school exams of VMBO-TL.
Next year I start a new study. I want to become a doctors-assistant.

This is the second time that I join a Thinkquest contest. Last year I made the site: www.nieuwleven.nl.nu together with Renate.
My hobbies are ice skating, together with Renate, and playing the flute.

Nienke


Hello!
I’m Nienke and I’m 15 years old.
I’m in the fourth grade of my Senior General Secondary Education. And I follow bilingual education. This means that I get some of my subjects in English instead of Dutch. I practice sport a lot. My main sport is water polo and besides that Renate teaches me to skate, and I run and roller-skate too (when the weather is good…).

For me it’s the fourth time to participate in ThinkQuest. The first three websites I made with Renate, and Tineke coached us. The first was about waterpolo: clik.to/waterpolo, the second about drugs: clik.to/drugs and the third about mentally handicapped people (in Dutch): www.hoezo.nl.nu.

I’ve liked it to make this website, especially because everything is in English.

Hello!
I am Naomi and I am 15 years old. My hobbies are singing and acting.
When Nienke told me that Renate, Laurette and she needed someone to translate their site, I immediately said yes, because I thought it was good for my English and the subject, mentally handicapped people, was very interesting.

I go to the school ‘de Meergronden’ where I do bilingual education, which means you get half of your classes in English. I am now in my fourth year.
