The Lake of Rades is situated in the southern suburbs of Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. The emblem of the city of Rades is the flamingo because hundreds of flamingoes winter in this lake every year. Although the number of these beautiful birds is constantly decreasing due different factors we dealt with in the rubric of " threats", the lake still welcomes some flamingoes.
On Wednesday 23 February 2005, we decided to visit this lake to have a closer look at the flamingoes breeding there and to take some photos for our website ... It was great because this  place isn't far from our school. We met with our coaches at 12 O'clock, at CREFOC (The Education and Ongoing Training Regional Center of Rades ). Then we started the excursion that we've been waiting for with great impatience; we were so excited.  For us, it was a big adventure ...
