In the Mediterranean countries, associations and organizations act jointly and make great efforts to protect the environment and mainly the lives of the endangered species such as pink flamingoes. They also work at making protection measures more effective and at strengthening international collaboration towards a better and a more secure future for these species. We can mention the Greater Flamingoes Network in the Mediterranean and West Africa, set up in 2002, which is very dynamic and active. |
