Life on Mars?... |
| For many years now scienticts have been trying to prove the existence of life on Mars. Although Mars is smaller and colder than Earth, it is very similar. Like Earth, Mars has a thin atmosphere and polor ice caps. Dry riverbeds criss-cross along the martian surface. Frozen or even liquid water may exist under the Martian surface which may provide life for organisms. No evidence has been enough to prove that there is or was life on "The Red Planet". Although with new technologies and more rovers heading to Mars, we might just find the existance of life on another planet (if it exists). The most famous meteorite known as ALH84001 was discovered on Antarctica in 1984 by a NASA team. In 1993 scientists (after many tests) determined that the meteorite was from Mars. This meteorite is famous because of the carbon patterns inside of it. These patterns show possible life on Mars, but other scientists still want to do more tests before coming to a conclusion. |
