Warm up wax and keep it warm during the work. Put the waxing pot in a bigger pot filled with hot water. Be carefull with hot materials it can be dangerous.
Wind cottonball on a long wooden stick. This is the waxing tool to put the wax on the textile.
Place the textile on newspaper or strech it over a frame. Place the paper template on the textile and cover it with the wax. Use more wax around the template. Make sure the wax is thick enough to cover the textile fully to achive the desiered result.
Follow the instructions to prepare paint.
After the wax gets hard put the textile in the paint. You can paint the textile with brush too but in this case place water resistant material under the textile. You can use diffrent colors.
After the paint fully dryed rub the wax out of the textile. Finally iron it between newspaper to eliminate the wax.
To make marble effect put wax on the textile and wait until it gets hard. It will create a hard flat surface. Brake it into pieces. The textile will absorb the paint along the ruptures. Making tryouts is rewarding it makes ecxiting effects. |
