The Zodiac Killer

        In Riverside, Ca. Cheri Jo Bates was brutally murdered. Someone had tampered with her car and killed her. A month later an anonymous letter ( The Confession) was sent to the local press. The letter told about Bates’ horrible death. Evidence proved that Bates did put up a struggle and no knife was found  broken in Bates’s body. On the six month anniversary identical letters were sent to the police, newspaper, and Bate’s father. Each letter read : Bates had to die. In April 1967, a janitor found a poem under a folding desk in the  Investigators believed it was left by Bates’s killer.

          December 20,1968 David Faraday and his date Betty Lou Jensen were murdered.  A mysterious gun man came in shot the two teenagers. Faraday was killed instantly and Jensen was shot thirty feet from the car. Someone made an anonymous call to the police station. They told about the couple being shot and the location of the shooting. The Zodiac had struck again.

          July 4,1969 Michael Mageau and Darlene Ferrin were on a date. A  gunman shot Mageau in the face and the bullet  entered through Ferrin’s flesh. Mageau pushed himself in the backseat. Ferrin tried to run , but was unlucky. Mageau was heard calling for help. Ferrin was pronounced dead at the hospital. Mageau, however,  had survived. Once again someone made an anonymous call. They reported a double murder and described the weapon used. They also claimed of killing the two teenagers the previous year.
