Q “What class are you in?”

A “I am a Master Falconer.”

 

Q  “How long have you been doing falconry?"

A  “For 14 long years.”

 

Q   “When did you get interested in falconry?"

A   “I have been interested all my life, really.”

 

Q   “What do you feed your birds?”

A   “Mostly quail.”

 

Q   “What kind of birds have you had?"

A   “Red tail, prairie falcon, ferruginous hawk, prairie peregrine hybrid, male kestrel."

 

Q    “How long did it take to capture your first bird?"

A    “Two weeks.”

 

Q    “What was your first bird?"

A    “A Red Tail hawk”

 

Q    “How long did it take to train her?"

A    “Approximately 21-30 days.”

 

Q    “Have you ever lost her?"

A    “I lost her one day, and she came back the next day.”

 

Q    “Have you ever been hurt by one of your birds?”

A    “Yes, once a Red Tail clawed my face. I was too close.”
