About Us 

Hi!  My name is Beowulf.  My job on the site was the graphic artist.  I am a 4th grader in South Dakota, and my father, Bill, is really into anything and everything medieval!  He was a great resource for us as we researched our topics.

My hobbies are:  completing puzzles of any kind, reading, and playing/collecting Yugi-Oh games/cards.  I have never made a web site before.  I most often use the computer at home for games.  At school I use it for keyboarding and Accelerated Reader.

During this project I learned how to find information, give credit to my sources and put information into my own words.  My main responsibility was the Daily Life Section and taking photographs for our site.

Hi!  My name is Zack.  I was the game master, so I had to learn how to create both on-line and printable games for our site.  I am a 5th grader in South Dakota.  

My hobbies are:  playing video games, participating in Gifted Ed, reading, and participating in Destination Imagination.  I have never made a web site before.  The only time I use the computer is for games and research.  I also practice typing on my home computer using a dial-up connection.

During this project I learned how to paraphrase, edit, get permissions, and many other things.  My research focused on the myths from the medieval period, and I learned about King Arthur, which was cool.

Hi!  My name is Zach.  I was the official gopher for the site, which means I did a little bit of everything!  I am a 4th grader in South Dakota.  

My hobbies are watching basketball games and playing video games.  I have never made a web site before.  I use computers for research and video games.  My home computer is used mostly by my parents, but I sometimes use it to go on websites.  Also, I am a very slow typist.

During this project I learned how to create games at QUIA, find information that is good and reliable, and to put that information into my own words.  I also learned about plagiarism, and how to avoid it.  I got to make many of the pages, find graphics, and a little bit of everything else, too.

Hi!  My name is JW.  My job was the main researcher/typist for our site.  I am a 5th grader in South Dakota, and my hobbies are playing video games and reading.  This is my first attempt at making a website.  Prior to this project, I only used computers to play games and sometimes to research.  I have internet access, but it is very slow.  Most of my work on this project was done at school, and I researched about the sieges and siege engines.

My hobbies are reading, playing video games and surfing the internet for things I want to buy.

During this project I learned how to locate information more easily.  I also learned how to put information in my own words!  That was the hardest part and took the longest.

Mrs. W has been coaching ThinkQuest teams for the past seven years.  She is the gifted ed teacher/coordinator for our district.  Her role on the team was to advise, help select a topic, share her knowledge of software/hardware, and teach us about graphic design.  She also helped us learn how to cite our sources, locate reliable information and get permission to use photos/information.

 Activities
