The millipede has around seven hundred legs.

The legs make the millipede part of the animal group Diplopoda (scientific name) family.

The millipede is a poisonous animal.

It oozes  a  poison  from the exoskeleton which is poison to other predators.

Humans aren't considered a millipede's predator so we aren't effected by their poison. 

Millipedes range from 1 inch to about one foot.

You can find them in damp places (like a basement).  

Millipedes use their sensing antennas to get around.
