They are usually a reddish brown color. Sometimes they're completely red and some times they are a light brown. | |

Most centipedes feed on small insects. | |

They catch the insects with their jaws and then inject venom. | |

Centipedes are mostly found in moist areas. They like to lay their eggs there. | |
|
You may find some in a rotten log or a forest. If you ever see a rotten log, don’t sit on it. | |

They can also be found under rocks in trees and in the woods. |
