Centipedes can grow to be over 12 inches.

They are usually a reddish brown color. Sometimes they're completely red and some times they are a light brown.

Most centipedes feed on small insects.

They catch the insects with their jaws and then inject venom.

Centipedes are mostly found in moist areas. They like to lay their eggs there.

You may find some in a rotten log or a forest. If you ever see a rotten log, don’t sit on it.

They can also be found under rocks in trees and in the woods.
