The fresh raw coffee is not just exported after the harvest. It is storaged for some time in warehouses. Also here as well as on the transport on the ship one looks embarrassingly exactly on factors like temperature, air humidity and smell-neutral storage of the precious beans. To guarantee a high quality and not to damage the beans, the sacks with the raw coffee are put into special containers on the sea route. Arrived at the destination, the raw coffee depending on the claim of quality of the producer is dried once again. Normally the roasting takes place in the import country, because roasted coffee is perishable.
If a storage of roasted coffee is needed, the coffee has to be frozen.
