WHAT  IS  BEING  DONE  TO  STOP  THE  SPREAD

We are doing many things to stop the spread of invasive plants. We are treating them with two plant eating beetles which feed on bud, leaf, and root. We are also using pesticides and herbicides. But you can  do something about the spread too. If it's a land plant, try mowing or pulling it out of the ground. But if it is the Autumn Olive or Purple Loose-Strife, DO NOT pull it out, because even the smallest root tissue could grow another one. But if this is a case with a water  plants then just follow these simple procedures to help protect your waters:

Remove any visible mud, fish, plants, or animals before transporting equipment.

Clean and dry anything that came in contact with water (boats, equipment, clothing, pets, etc.).

Eliminate any water before transporting.

Never release any plants, fish, or other animals into a body of water unless it came out of that body of water.
