WHAT IS BEING DONE TO STOP THE SPREAD We are doing many things to stop the spread of invasive plants. We are treating them with two plant eating beetles which feed on bud, leaf, and root. We are also using pesticides and herbicides. But you can do something about the spread too. If it's a land plant, try mowing or pulling it out of the ground. But if it is the Autumn Olive or Purple Loose-Strife, DO NOT pull it out, because even the smallest root tissue could grow another one. But if this is a case with a water plants then just follow these simple procedures to help protect your waters:
