Eating And Food |
|
Food is important during a hurricane.
With all the water everywhere foods may pickup bacteria. Generally, sealed
foods are good. Examples of these are canned meats, jarred meats, canned
fruits, canned vegetables, canned soups, powdered milk (if you have
a water source), jelly or honey, unsalted nuts, and pet food. These
foods are good because they are usually sealed off, therefore bacteria
cannot enter. Most of these foods can be eaten, not preferably, without
any preparation. Also, remember to keep hydrated. With all the water
around, you may not feel dehydrated but water is important. Water is
a main ingredient in all the body's tasks. |
