International Fashion is exciting to learn about.  We can find out how fashion originated and learn about cultural dress. For example, did you know that fashion is determined one year in advance?  Well, it is!  Designers from Paris, London, New York and Milan "set the bar" for upcoming fashions.  From there, revisions are made in both fabrics and designs to make clothing affordable for you and me.
 

Some fun international fashion history facts:

• Trousers were invented by the Roman army and lower class and eventually were worn by all men.
• Cotton was an expensive fabri il the cotton gin was invented in 1793.
• The United States is one of the only countries where ladies wear shorts.
• There are 3 main types of chinese traditional clothing; the pien-fu, the ch'ang-p'ao and the shen-i.
