Different types of armor

 - Norman Shield it is used in the 11th   and 15th centuries. It is made of wood, metal, or made with both. 

-Wall Shield. It was good for really protecting you. Another is called pavise. The pavise is a lot like a Wall shield it is huge it was rarely everused in combat.

-Torque the torque is made of metal. It is like neck chain worn by the ancient Gauls.  

 - Brugundy- The Burgundy was an open faced helmet. It was mostly used in the 16th century in Europe

- Finger Plates are another type of armor it is used to protect your hand. 

 -  Thigh Guards  are used     
             for protecting the thighs 

- Cuisses they are made of leather and metal they protect the upper part of the leg. 

- Ventail is used for protecting the neck. 

- Chain Mail it is used for the same thing as ventails. 

- Neck Guard it is used for covering the neck and shoulders. 

- Brigantue it is flexible body armor. 

- Hauberk it is made of chain mail and is like armor. 

- Scale mail it is used for protecting against cuts. 

- Surcoats they are used for horse back riding. 

- Tracers, Vambraces, and arm Greaves they are all the same thing they protect the arm down to the wrist. 

- Ring Mail it is the same thing as chain mail. 

- Cabasset it is another opened faced helmet. 

- Great Helm is used for protecting the head it is one of the best.                     

- Heaumes it is like the great helm.

- Bevor is a chin and neck protector. 

- Heator  is a shield that protects the knight in battle.

Different badges

Knights of different countries all had different symbols. The order of the bath military badge) in United Kingdom . The order of the Star of India (badge)- United Kingdom . Order of the Indian Empire (badge)- United Kingdom . Order of the Elephant (badge) Denmark . Order of the Bath (Civil badge)-United Kingdom. Order of St.Michael and St. George (badge)- United Kingdom . Royal Victoian Order (badge)- United Kingdom . Order of the Elephant (star)- Denmark . Those are all of the names of the different badges.

 

 

Order of the armor

 The knight would lots of armor. Under his armor the knight wore bries and a chausses and aketon. Over that he wore a hauberk. Over that a knight wore a surcoat. Over that a knight was placed a belt. On a knights legs he wore wrapped blankets around the knees. Over that he wore a set of mail. Spurs were worn also. The head was protected by a iron helmet and kept iron links out of his hair. that is the order in which knights wore there armor.

 

 

 How Armor was made 

They made armor that fit most of the knights. A team of  workers worked on the armor. Hammerers ,mail makers millmen, who polished the metal. Locksmiths who attached the hinges.  Engravers and etchers, who decorated it with designs and inscriptions.
