Salamander

***The Tiger Salamander has a black body with yellow stripes and patches. Its belly is grey. A Tiger Salamander can grow to be 7 to 8 inches in length. If the salamander loses a foot or a tail the salamander can grow it back.

***Some places to look for a salamander are under logs or under stones near the pond. All salamanders eat worms, tadpoles, and water insects. If a salamander does not have a moist place to live it can dry out and die. The female salamander lays jelly covered eggs in masses on plants in shallow water.
