Microscope Activity
1. Place water from the
pond in a shallow pan.
2. Use eyedroppers to
place a small amount of the water on a microscope slide.
3. Look for the microscopic
animals and plants of the pond.
4. Draw what you see
on a sheet of paper. Try to identify what you drew using a field guide.
5. Other materials (plant
or insect parts) from the pond's edge may be observed also.
6. ALL SAMPLES SHOULD
BE RETURNED TO THE POND!
