Frogs and Toads

***A frog is an amphibian who has teeth only on the upper jaw. It lives its tadpole months in water. Then it lives near the water. Once a frog has mated and produced eggs, the frog then lays the eggs in the water. The cycle then starts all over again. Frogs eat incects, small fish, worms.

***Frogs evolved about 200 million years ago, during the time of dinosaurs.The bullfrog can lay 10,000 to 20,000 eggs in the summer. Their eggs are jelly covered eggs. Common frogs lay their eggs in clumps which then float to the top of the water. When toads lay eggs they from into a necklace on a plant.
