 Cattails ****On the shorelines of ponds you can see the plant they call the cattail. This plant can grow 4-8 feet and has olive green leaves. ***In the summer, a flower spike appears that is brown and yellow. The pollen that rests on top blows away. Then the stalk is covered with a quarter million seeds. The seeds stay on the stalk in the winter and last through the harsh weather. The spring breeze blows the fluffy seeds away.
