The Brain

The brain is connected to the eye through the optic nerve. When light travels through the pupil, the lens redirects it so it hits, and gets captured by the retina at a better angle. When your eye sees an optical illusion, it sends the picture to your brain. Your brain gets confused because your eyes are seeing two different things in the optical illusions.
