Pitcher plants catch
insects with jug like
leaves. Sweet nectar on
the pitcher's rim attacts
insects. The insects fall
down the slippery walls of
the jug and die in a pool of
liquid. The slippery walls
stop the insect if it tries to
climb up and out of the
pitcher.
