The butterwort is the common name for
this plant, which measures 5 to 8 inches
in diameter and is greasy to sight and
touch. The butterwort's trapping
mechanism is similar to that of the
sundews. In the spring the butterwort's
leaves form a circle on the ground and
they send up flowers. The lights and
smell of the butterwort attract bugs onto
the leaves were they become trapped.
The more the bug wiggles the more stuck
it becomes. Slowly the bug is dissolved.
