One resource of the sea is Sea Salt. Most of the minerals that can
be found are in the bottom brown colored layer of salt, called Mineral
Salt. It is mined thousands of feet
below the ground level. Another way to use sea salt is to harvest it. This can happen by pumping water underground
where a layer of salt has been discovered.
The salty water is then pumped out and used in production. This process has been named Vacuum Pan Salt Refining. This
is a process that doesn’t allow the free crossing of liquids through the pump.
Another way to remove salts is through
desalinization plants. It is the removal
of salts from a type of water called Saline Water. This method along with
mining the salt is becoming a more and more popular way of providing freshwater
to many needing countries world wide.
Where, do you ask that the salt layers
came from? Well, there are two
theories. One says it is caused by the
evaporation of old seas. And the other
says the salt layer was created by chemical reaction. So which is true? You be the decision maker
of that.
