Introduction
Dear Mrs. PinPold,
you are our favorite teacher. You always come up with cool things to do and awesome field trips. We really had fun in the medieval times.
But now we have an issue. Late last weekend there was a movie about the Wild West. We are so confused! The Indians ran around like savages - they ran around screaming in weird clothes and were bad guys. On the other hands, the guys hanging in saloons and shooting guns at each other were the heroes. How strange!
Mrs. PinPold, we need you to tell us the truth. What happened at the Wild West. Who were the Native Americans, and what were they like? How did explorers discovered the trails that led to the new settlements? And who were the people who left all they have to come to this strange new land? We really need to know. And by the way, those gunfights - please explain.
Mrs. PinPold the world today is the different place, but what happened in our past is also important. We want to learn so we can share with world the true story of American past, the whole truth about Wild West and see if we can help in anyway.
