Introduction and Website Purpose
This website was created so that we could use our passion for theoretical physics and the wondrous capabilities of string theory to produce an understandable, comprehensive, and cohesive site that would attract and captivate the general public. Throughout this nearly four-month project, the team has aimed to bring a relatively original topic to the audience in a web site that would capture the essence and fascination of string theory in a way that other sites, which we had viewed, had not.
Much like other mainstream topics in the world of science and current events, we believe that string theory is truly a prominent subject and not simply an esoteric concept. We focused on keeping the content concise, yet complete and added images, movies, and interactive media to actively engage the viewer. Additionally, we conducted interviews, constructed a timeline, and added a search feature, a glossary, and a help section in order to facilitate and enhance the viewer’s experience. We hope that we created a balanced and enjoyable site. Thank you so much for your interest!
Target Audience
This website contains information that will be appropriate for youth studying on the middle and high school level. This site hopes to capture the imagination of youth from all around the world and inspire them to explore string theory, physics, and the world around them. Additionally, the information presented may be appropriate to anyone, regardless of his or her age or level of education. We hope that this site will prove to be an interesting and innovative adventure for the viewers.
