History:

In 1853, there was a terrible yellow fever disease. It is believed that people who died as a result of yellow fever were buried in the Lafayette Cemetery.

Lafayette Cemetery is one of the safest Cemeteries in the city.

The Lafayette Cemetery was the setting for the movies Double Jeopardy and Interview with a Vampire.
