History: In 1853, there was a terrible yellow fever disease. It is believed that people who died as a result of yellow fever were buried in the Lafayette Cemetery. Interesting Facts: Lafayette Cemetery is one of the safest Cemeteries in the city. The Lafayette Cemetery was the setting for the movies Double Jeopardy and Interview with a Vampire.
