Advanced Cell Technologies
Advanced Cell Technologies focuses on creating cloned transgenic cows, producing cloned transgenic animals as donors of cells for transplant therapies, and leading in the application of human cell nuclear transfer to create cells and tissues genetically identical to those with various life-threatening illnesses.
L'Alliance Boviteq
L'Alliance Boviteq cloned a Holstein bull with the University of Montreal Veterinary Faculty. This was the first animal from an adult somatic cell in Canada to be cloned.
Genetic Savings and Clone
Genetic Savings and Clone is working together with Texas A&M University in animal cloning research for dogs, cats, cattle, and horses. One project that they have completed is the "CopyCat project", which successfully created a cat clone. They are also working on cloning wildlife and endangered species.
Geron Corporation
Geron Corporation focuses on the nuclear transfer process in cloning. Their website contains a lot of information on their projects.
Infigen
Infigen cloned the first cow from a cell derived from a non-embryo, as well as many pigs and cattle. In addition to focusing on animal cloning, it is also working on the nuclear transfer process.
Lazaron BioTechnologies LLC
Lazaron BioTechnologies LLC was created by embryologists from Louisiana State University and works together with Genzyme Transgenics in building up the technology for cloning goats. They plan to clone cattles, endangered species, and pets, including cats.
Nexia Biotechnologies
Nexia Biotechnologies produced the first cloned goat and is now working with Genzyme Transgenics.
PPL Therapeutics
PPL Therapeutics helped Roslin Institute in cloning Dolly. They focus on creating cloned animals carrying new proteins in their milk to help cure human disease. One of their projects includes Polly, a sheep who carried a human gene to treat hemophilia B.
ProBio
ProBio works on cloning mice and is also working with Rudolph Jaenisch at the Whitehead Institute.
The Roslin Institute
The Roslin Institute worked with PPL Therapeutics in creating the clone, Dolly. More information on their other projects can be found at their site.
