                 Ayurveda: A art of healthy living

 

 Ayurveda has been proved to be useful in every sphere of life.Still some researches are being going on to make ayurveda a much more flexible science.Some of the research findings are:

Ayurvedic medicines were given to the patients to get the symptomatic relief, they include Chyavanprash in the form of Raktavardhak ( 1 TSF ) in the morning, Sookshma triphla tabs ( 2 tabs) twice a day. These medicines have been shown to improve the quality of life of the patient and help to keep away from the diseases and hazardous infections.

DIABETGUARD GRANULES, a formulation (formulated by GOODCARE PHARMA PVT. LTD.) based on Ayurvedic principles is being exhaustively researched  for its effect on blood sugar levels and also its  potential  in adverting long-term complications of diabetes mellitus. Its main ingredients  are  Eugenia  jambolana, Momordica charanctia, Gymmnema sylvestrae, Tinospora cordifolia, Accacia catechu, Azadirecta indica and Silajit etc.

A research is going on  ayurvedic preparations for cure of dueodenal ulcers.The trial therapies included Nimbatiktam,Amalaki,Rasaynam,Indukanta etc.

 A study was conducted by various research centers of Central Council of Research in Ayurvedia&Siddha on the ayurvedic preparations on heart diseases.The trial therapies included Arjuna,Tvak,Ghana,Dasha moola etc.The results of the above mentioned therapies were mostly positive.

Coronary flow was measured on the isolated perfused rabbit heart after administration of different doses of the Terminalia arjuna extract ( 1 to 1024 micro gm ) at time 1.3 and 5min. The results show coronary flow was significantly enhanced with the higher doses of extract. The results show antianginal activity of T.arjuna NSL. New Delhi.
